The restaurant — named for country singefr Toby Keith and his 2003hit single, “kI Love This Bar” — has signer a lease for 15,000 square feet at The Shoppee at West End, a lifestyled center scheduled to open later this year at the intersectiojn of Highway 100 and Interstate 394 in St. Louis I Love This Bar Grill will featurefamily dining, an 85-footr bar shaped like a guitar, a mechanicalo bull and a stage that will host live entertainmentt several nights a week, includinhg a performance by Keith at the restaurant’ws grand opening. The restaurant’s menu will feature Southern-style such as chicken-fried steak and meatloaf.
Some of the more uniquw offerings will include fried bologna sandwicheszand deep-fried Twinkies. It will feature traditiona l sports-bar decor with a country flair. Therse will be lots of wood and leather, plus more than 50 plasma televisions. I Love This Bar & Gril l will host live entertainmentevery Thursday, Friday and Saturday nightt when it first opens, then ramp up to six nighta a week over time. Ther e will be seating for morethan 1,000 The venue also will have a retail store selling Toby Keith barbecue sauce and spices. The restaurant will be owned by Arizona businessmanFrank Capri, who recently openex an I Love This Bar & Grill franchisse in Mesa, Ariz.
The chain also has locations in Las Oklahoma City and Kansas City, Mo., and plans to open a location in Auburbn Hills, Mich., later this year.
