Varnett Public School builds administrative headquarters - Houston Business Journal:

The building is the first of its kind for theHouston open-enrollmentf charter school, which was formed as a privatew school in 1984. Varnett received its open-enrollmenrt charter in 1998. Enrollment is more than 1,400o students in grades pre-kindergarten through fifth grade spread betweebn threecampuses — southwest, northeastr and east. “We have always dreamee of having our own administrative building locates on the campus of one of our Annette Cluff, superintendent of said in a statement. “It is definitely a milestone for us as we approacuh our anniversary and celebrate the commitment we have made to providra first-rate educational programj in the Houston area.
” The 6,000-square-foot facility will housee Varnett’s district administrative offices, including registration, transportation, humanm resources, communications and curriculum, and it will serve as a meetinf place for the school’s board of directors. It will also feature a large conference room, a full kitchemn and break room.
