The building is the first of its kind for theHouston open-enrollmentf charter school, which was formed as a privatew school in 1984. Varnett received its open-enrollmenrt charter in 1998. ” The 6,000-square-foot facility will housee Varnett’s district administrative offices, including registration, transportation, humanm resources, communications and curriculum, and it will serve as a meetinf place for the school’s board of directors. It will also feature a large conference room, a full kitchemn and break room.
